Matara Creek Homestead

Life with Our Dogs

Our dogs are not something we leave behind when the working day ends. They are part of our family.

Every morning begins with feeding, cleaning and caring. Every evening ends by checking that everyone is safe, comfortable and settled for the night.

Matara Creek is built before work, after work, on weekends and often late into the evening. This is not a hobby. It is our way of life.

When guests visit, they are not just booking an activity. They are stepping into our everyday life — meeting our dogs, hearing our stories, experiencing the changing seasons, and discovering the quieter side of Finnish Lapland through the people who live here.

Everything we offer is built around authenticity. No scripts. No staged experiences. No exaggerated promises. Just honest hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and a genuine welcome.

Dogs should be allowed to be dogs.

They should have space to run, dig, climb, play and simply enjoy life. That belief shapes how we build the homestead, how we care for the pack, and how we welcome people into our home.
